Turning over a new (web)page – welcome to SusDane relaunched!
This year is all about new beginnings. After spending last
year mostly in London, my base is now not only back in Switzerland, but also in
a new house. Somehow we managed to get ourselves the most incredible view of mountains and
Lac Leman (or Lake Geneva as it’s known outside of Switzerland) so we were off
to a flying start.
As soon as the boxes were in I got down to the business of finishing the new website. This has been a project in the back of my mind for quite some time and after a few weeks of sweat and tears (no blood thankfully) I hope you like the result!
So what now? After Easter I hit the road, starting with a trip to explore responsible tourism in Gambia. This is a subject close to my heart and Gambia is one of the first countries to fully embrace it (along with other pioneers such as South Africa, New Zealand and Kerala in India). I am very excited to have two beautiful and ethically run resorts on my itinerary as well as some amazing activities – more on that to come!
Next up is Denmark to see my lovely little sister being confirmed. How did she get so big, so fast? I plan to stay for a week or so to a) enjoy Copenhagen in the spring (a huge contrast to last time I was there in the snow!) and b) check out some intriguing projects I have heard about. Watch this space for more.
I then head to the Netherlands and Rotterdam more precisely. Why would you do that, you might ask? Well – the main reason is a travel blogging conference to catch up with some of the wonderful peeps I have met in the last six months. The word is also that the city has rejuvenated itself, making it a better place to live and to visit. I plan to find out for myself.
My gateway between these trips will be London with a possible side trip to the seaside so there are a few busy weeks coming up!
Keep up with the news by joining me on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram and of course by signing up for the newsletter, another fresh addition to SusDane.
See you on the journey through places, words and images!
